The National Examination Board is set to announce the results of the class 12 examinations today (१८ साउन २०८१, शुक्रवार). Currently, the board is in a meeting that is ongoing. The board has indicated that the results will be released today, barring any technical difficulties. Should there be any technical issues or failures, the results are expected to be announced by Sunday.
This year, a total of 390,847 students participated in the 12th-grade examinations, which commenced on the 14th of Baisakh. The cohort consisted of 196,969 female students and 193,933 male students who registered on the regular track. This significant number of examinees reflects the broad scope and importance of these examinations in the academic progression of students.
The anticipation for the results is high among students, parents, and educators, as these results are pivotal for the students’ future educational and career opportunities. The National Examination Board is working diligently to ensure that the results are released promptly and without errors to facilitate the next steps for all involved students.
In addition to the regular examinees, this year saw 160,650 students participating in the grade increase examination. These exams were held across a wide network of 1,526 centers that included locations in all 77 districts of the country as well as one center in Japan, accommodating the diverse geographical spread of students.
The class 12 exams saw participation from students representing 5,542 schools across the nation. This broad participation underscores the extensive reach and inclusivity of the educational system in accommodating students from various regions and backgrounds.
Furthermore, the results of the Class 12 exams will be published according to the letter grading guidelines of 2078. This grading system is designed to provide a more comprehensive evaluation of students’ performance by categorizing achievements into various grades rather than traditional numerical scoring. This approach aims to reduce undue pressure and stress on students and provide a more balanced and nuanced reflection of their academic abilities.
The implementation of these guidelines is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the educational assessment framework, ensuring it remains relevant and supportive of students’ educational and career aspirations.
